Highlights of Nick Stanley’s first term as Aledo Mayor:
Mayor Stanley’s leadership is making a real difference in Aledo. Our parks are better than ever, Bailey Ranch Road has been rebuilt to improve traffic flow, and our local businesses are thriving. Families feel safer, and we’ve preserved our community’s charm by keeping out high-density development. Thanks to his hard work, Aledo is growing in the right direction!

Aledo City Councilwoman

Support only quality neighborhoods – no high density
As Mayor, one of Stanley’s highest priorities is protecting Aledo from substandard, low-quality development. Since taking office, Stanley has worked with city leaders on a Unified Development Code, resisted efforts to construct dense development, and established sound economic policies that give the Council and public greater control over real estate plans.

Protect taxpayers with a more efficient City Hall.
Under Mayor Stanley’s leadership, the City of Aledo has conducted two audits to ensure it spends its limited tax revenue wisely. By scrubbing our budget, making City Hall more transparent, and keeping a close eye on the bottom line, Aledo maintains one of the lowest property tax rates among comparable cities in North Texas.

Maintain quality city services & public safety.
By focusing our City Hall budget on what’s most important to Aledo families, Mayor Stanley has earmarked our limited tax dollars for services that are most impactful to our everyday lives, such as a new police department, road improvements, updated parks, a public library, and wastewater treatment.
